The film Meitantei Precure! Fushigi na Niwa to Futari no Himitsu (Meitantei Precure! The Movie) is adding another round of "Hanamaru" cheer-along screenings on Saturday, October 31, the official website announced. They will run at 53 theaters across all 47 prefectures of Japan.
At these screenings the audience is allowed to cheer, call out and clap, and to bring uchiwa fans, towels and glow sticks to support the Precure.
Everyone attending a cheer-along screening on October 31 receives a cheer card newly drawn by Akane Yano, character designer for the TV series. There is one design, and one card is given per ticket. Other visitor gifts follow the regular screenings.
How to attend
Find a participating theater on the official theater list. Showtimes differ by theater, so check each theater's website.
Tickets go on sale at 00:00 on Thursday, October 29 (Japan time) on each theater's website, and at the box office once the theater opens that day. Admission is the regular price. Mubichike advance tickets, service days and discount coupons can be used; free and invitation tickets cannot. Tickets cannot be changed or refunded after purchase.
The organizers ask attendees not to use noisemakers such as crackers or whistles, not to stamp, jump or leave their seats to watch from the aisles, and to keep glow sticks and penlights short and dim enough not to block others. Filming and recording are not allowed. The screenings are not suited to anyone who wants to watch quietly.
The film is shown in Japanese, and the announcement does not mention subtitles.
