Osaka, not Tokyo
AnimeJapan was held in Tokyo for its first 13 years; the 2026 edition was at Tokyo Big Sight. The organizers announced in March 2026 that both AnimeJapan 2027 and AnimeJapan 2028 will move to Osaka, with the support of Osaka's tourism bureau. If you are planning a trip around the event, plan it around Osaka.
Getting to INTEX Osaka
INTEX Osaka is at 1-5-102 Nanko-Kita, Suminoe-ku, Osaka, on the waterfront. According to the venue, it takes about 40 minutes from central Osaka (Umeda, Kyobashi, Namba or Tennoji); see the venue's access page for routes. AnimeJapan's own access page has not been published yet.
