Comic Market 109 (Winter Comiket 2026): Dates, Tickets and How to Attend

Comic Market 109, the winter Comiket, takes place at Tokyo Big Sight from December 29 to 31, 2026. It is the world's largest self-published comics market, with circles selling their own manga, art books, games and music, plus corporate booths from anime companies. This winter it runs for three days instead of the usual two, the first time it has gone past two days since the winter of 2019, because circle applications keep growing while renovation work at Tokyo Big Sight has reduced the number of halls. This page collects what the official announcements say and is updated when ticket sales are announced.

How admission works

There is no free entry: every visitor needs a ticket or a wristband. The organizers say C109 uses the same system as the last several markets. At the summer Comic Market 108 it worked like this:

  • Early entry ticket — the first to enter at 10:30. Sold by lottery through TicketPay, in your own name; you must show a matching passport or Japanese government photo ID (originals only).
  • Morning (AM) entry wristband — joins the queue that starts entering at 11:00. Sold at anime shops in Japan and their online stores while stock lasts. International visitors who cannot get to a shop could buy an e-ticket through eplus and exchange it for a wristband at the venue.
  • Afternoon (PM) entry wristband — enter after 12:30. For C109 it costs 440 yen in advance from animate, Toranoana or Melonbooks, or 1,000 yen on the day outside the venue, where the queues are long.
  • One child aged 15 or younger can enter free with an adult who has a ticket or wristband.

For the summer market, the early-entry lottery ran from June 26 to July 6 and wristbands went on sale on July 11, about five weeks before the event. The sale dates for C109 have not been announced; we will add them here when they are.

Rules to know before you go

  • Arriving the day before or waiting overnight near the venue is forbidden.
  • Come by public transport. Cars, motorbikes and bicycles are not allowed, and the organizers ask visitors not to use taxis.
  • Cosplayers change at the venue's changing rooms; you cannot travel to or from your hotel in cosplay.

Getting to Tokyo Big Sight

  • Rinkai Line to Kokusai-Tenjijo Station, then about a 7-minute walk.
  • Yurikamome to Tokyo Big Sight Station, then about a 3-minute walk.
  • Buses from Tokyo Station (Yaesu side, about 30 minutes) and special direct buses from the Marunouchi South exit (about 30 minutes).

IC cards such as Suica and PASMO work on the trains and buses above.
