Shoji is the editor of Anime On Record, based in Osaka, Japan. Shoji follows official anime announcements as they are published in Japanese: studio sites, publishers’ releases and broadcasters’ schedule pages.
How the articles are made
Articles on this site are drafted by a language model from the official announcement and checked mechanically against it. Shoji then reads each draft against its source before it is published, and decides whether it is published at all. Names, titles and wording that do not match the source are corrected; drafts that do not hold up are not published. The full process is described in our editorial policy.
Guides
Shoji also edits the site’s guides for fans outside Japan, on buying goods from Japanese official shops, ichiban kuji, and which Japanese streaming and radio services can be used from abroad.
