The manga 33-sai Dokushin Onna Kishi Taichou by Amahara is being adapted into an anime. Digital Shokunin Co., Ltd., a company that produces manga, illustration and animation content, announced the adaptation to mark the 10th anniversary of the manga's serialization. BookLive Co., Ltd. publishes the manga.

The series is a comedic fantasy set in another world, centered on a single, 33-year-old female knight captain. It is still being serialized. The announcement says Amahara's earlier works include Interspecies Reviewers and The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace.

Alongside the announcement, the anime's logo and the main character design were unveiled. A music video celebrating the adaptation was released on YouTube the same day. The video uses visuals and music to convey the appeal of the original manga.

An official X account and an official YouTube channel for the anime, both under the handle @33onakishianime, have also been launched. They will carry future news and video content.

In a comment, Amahara recalled drawing a joke in the afterword of volume 4 about an anime adaptation for the 10th anniversary. About 1 week after handing in that afterword, Amahara was told the anime would actually happen. Amahara added that they are now looking forward to the day it is released.

A premiere date, broadcast or streaming platforms, staff and cast have not been announced.

The anime adaptation was announced by Digital Shokunin Co., Ltd. in a press release distributed via PR TIMES.
