The anime film Chiikawa: Ningyo no Shima no Himitsu (Chiikawa the Movie) will hold its third cheer-along screening on Friday, October 30, and a cheer-along screening with automatically controlled penlights on Friday, November 6, the official website announced. Both start at 19:00 at the same time nationwide.
At cheer-along screenings, the audience can call out, cheer for Chiikawa and friends and bring goods such as penlights. At the November 6 screening, special penlights change color in time with the characters on screen. You can enter without one and bring ordinary penlights or glow sticks; the special penlights can be bought in advance or, in limited numbers, at the theaters. The effect includes long stretches of flashing light.

House rules
Keep cheering goods at chest height so they do not block the view, and do not use noisemakers such as crackers or whistles. Standing up, jumping or watching from the aisles is not allowed, and neither is changing into cosplay inside the theater. Photography and recording are prohibited. The screenings are not suited to anyone who wants to watch quietly. The film is shown in Japanese.
