The upcoming anime adaptation of Oreco Tachibana's web manga Firefly Wedding has revealed its opening theme, a new promotional video and its streaming plans. Right after its TV broadcast on October 9, 2026, the latest episode will stream free for a limited time on TVer and other services from midnight, with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and other platforms to follow. AT-X will also air the series from October 16, every Friday at 11 p.m.
New Theme Song by iri
iri, in her first anime theme song collaboration, contributes the original song "Period" as the series' opening theme. Reflecting on the creative process, iri noted inspiration from the main character's journey, mentioning the complexities of facing harsh realities head-on.
First Promotional Video Released
The newly released promotional video showcases the meeting between the characters Satoko, an abducted lady, and Shinpei, a legendary assassin. Their initially impossible romance forms the core of the plot, in a story where mystery and obsessive love intertwine.
