The official website for Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End has started a countdown illustration project ahead of Season 3, the Golden Land arc, which airs in October 2027. With one year to go, animators and staff on the series will release illustrations at intervals until the season begins.
The first, marking one year to go, is by Keisuke Kojima, one of the series' character designers. It shows the travelling party of Frieren, Fern and Stark, with Frieren holding a grimoire of a spell to make Season 3 air in one year.
