The production team behind the upcoming animated film To You in the Beyond has released six character promotional videos. These PVs provide a deeper look into the past experiences of the characters who play crucial roles in the storyline. Scheduled to premiere on October 9, the film is an adaptation of Akiko Abe's award-winning youth novel.
Film Details
Directed by Junichi Wada, known for his work on the series HIGH CARD, the movie features a screenplay by Sayaka Kuwamura, credited for titles such as Strobe Edge and Josee, the Tiger and the Fish. Character design and chief animation direction are handled by Hechima, a celebrated illustrator.
Music and Production
Music for the film is composed by Koji Nakamura. Singer-songwriter Tota performs the theme song “Olive” and the insert song “Hosenka”. Animation is produced by TMS Entertainment, a well-established studio known for numerous popular anime.
Main Characters
Leading the cast is Hiroya Ishibashi as Kazuki Tsukigase, with Anna Nagase voicing the mysterious girl, Nanao, who claims to be from 1974. The story centers on their interactions and secrets as they navigate between past and present.
