Kizuguchi to Houtai Casts Yuka Iguchi and Youko Hikasa in Its Third Teaser

The TV anime Kizuguchi to Houtai (傷口と包帯) has cast Yuka Iguchi as Magical Penpengusa and Youko Hikasa as Matsu Daemon, the official website announced, alongside the third theme visual and teaser PV, titled 「仲間」.

This round introduces the members of 「包帯同盟」, an online community of people who share Riyo Washizu’s particular taste: getting excited by strong people looking weak. The visual shows Magical Penpengusa and Matsu Daemon with Riyo, the group’s organizer, under the handle 「ワンプ侍」. The teaser ends on Gou Kiritani wondering whether he has become one of them himself.

Comments from the cast

• Yuka Iguchi: reading the original was nonstop laughter, and the recording sessions are even funnier, with the cast’s performances and ad-libs going somewhere nobody expected. Iguchi is waiting for the broadcast as a fan.
• Youko Hikasa: Matsu Daemon is sensitive, timid and quick to cry despite appearances, with a kind, big-sister side Hikasa wants to bring out. Hikasa laughs easily and struggles to keep a straight face during takes.

What comes next

This is the third of four weekly reveals. The last, on Friday, November 6, brings the key visual and main PV, where the characters’ voices will be heard for the first time.

The same day, アニメイト池袋本店 hands out free tissue packs in two designs to mark the anime, at its first-floor storefront at 16:30, 17:30, 18:30 and 19:30, while supplies last.
